Job Description

Job Description:Daniel Owen are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for 2 experienced Caretakers to provide short-term cover across three educational sites in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in facilities support, particularly within a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out general caretaking duties including site security, opening and locking up the premises

Perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g. minor repairs, checks, and upkeep of internal and external areas)

Ensure cleanliness and health & safety standards are maintained throughout the site

Assist with deliveries, moving furniture, and general site support

Respond to any urgent issues or maintenance requests promptly

Essential Requirements:

Enhanced DBS check with Child Workforce (must be valid and in place)

Previous caretaking or facilities experience, ideally within an educational setting

Reliability, good communication skills, and a proactive attitude

Flexibility to work different shift patterns as required
