Wates 91黑料网 has won a 拢13m education contract from the Royal College of Art in Battersea, south London.
The Battersea North Site project involves the demolition and clearance of existing office buildings and a bus garage. This will allow the construction of a four-storey, concrete frame higher education building of around 4,500m2 of floor space, including 3 500m2 of teaching and workshop space, plus lecture theatre, art gallery, start-up units and retail units.
The project is to be carried out under a single stage traditional procurement route using a JCT Standard Form of Building Contract (2005 Edition, Private, with Quantities, with Contractors Design Portion).
Wates saw off competition from five other contractors to clinch the deal.
