The 36-storey office tower being built at Fifty Fenchurch Street will use 68,000 sqm of Megaplank flooring supplied by Explore Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Laing O鈥橰ourke.

This appointment follows a one-year pre-construction services agreement (PCSA).

Fifty Fenchurch Street is being developed by AXA IM Alts to be one of the UK's most sustainable and biodiverse high-rise office buildings, with 10th floor gardens and more than 40 planted terraces.

The Megaplank precast concrete floor planks will be manufactured on a high-speed carousel production line in Explore鈥檚 factory in Worksop. Megaplank promises high quality soffit finish. The composite design with steel beams creates opportunities to reduce steel section sizes, contributing to a more efficient use of materials and decreasing the overall weight of the structure, it is claimed.

Explore Manufacturing general manager James Langley said: 鈥淲e are excited to be part of the Fifty Fenchurch Street project and look forward to showcasing the exceptional qualities of our Megaplank product. This collaboration with Multiplex marks a significant milestone for us, and we are committed to delivering outstanding results that meet and exceed expectations.鈥
