Wates is converting a disused factory on Dakeyne Street into offices and workshops under a 拢7.2m contract for Nottingham City Council.
In an effort to be neighbourly Wates has so far conducted site tours for residents, provided a complimentary window cleaning service for locals and arranged for regular road sweeping.
Local resident Mohamed Moween has been sufficiently impressed to make lunch for the site workers one day.
Wates 91黑料网 Midlands business unit director Richard Scarrott said: 鈥淚t makes me incredibly proud to see that the consideration and respect of our team is having such a powerful impact on residents. People can assume that construction work is messy and disruptive but our team at Dakeyne Street are a prime example that this can be avoided and the friendships that have grown with local residents are a great testament to that.鈥
The project is scheduled to complete in spring 2016.
