The Life Safety Systems programme includes upgrades to the automatic fire detection and alarm systems across the Houses of Parliament, along with modifications to the emergency lighting and fire escape signage.
The work has been designed by IFC in conjunction with Purcells Conservation Architects. It will be carried out in 13 phases over the course of four years while maintaining full building operations.
Wates 91黑料网 is also currently working on a 拢20m refurbishment to the nearby six-storey Millbank House office building for the House of Lords.

Wates was appointed to deliver both Millbank House and the Life Safety Systems Programme via the southern construction framework, to which the contractor secured places on all three lots for major projects in March 2015.
