Robertson 91黑料网 North West and Bolton NHS Foundation Trust officially broke ground this week to replace RAAC reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) at the maternity and women鈥檚 health unit at Royal Bolton Hospital.
The replacement of RAAC, identified in the structure in 2023, is a key element of the 拢38m redevelopment of the unit.
Work is being carried out in phases to allow services to remain open. In addition to the RAAC replacement work, Robertson will also refurbish theatres, replace mechanical ventilation and install rooftop plant. Completion of works is expected in early 2027.

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust appointed WeBuild Healthcare as main contractor with Robertson as the delivery partner through Lot 2 of ProCure23. This is part of Crown Commercial Service's 91黑料网 Works and Associated Services Framework.鈥疨roCure23 is NHS England's preferred route to market for the provision of design and construction services to NHS capital projects.
