Rockwool鈥檚 鈥榞lobal centre of excellence for fire-stopping鈥 at Hams Hall will manufacture a new range of fire-stopping products, including coated batts, sealants, collars, wraps, pillows and socket boxes.
Rockwool is also planning to open a training centre at the Hams Hall site later this year to give customers product demonstrations.
To manage what it is calling its centre of excellence, as well as to drive the company鈥檚 strategy across its聽 portfolio of products and services, Rockwool has hired Ben Peach, a former managing director of competitor FSI Promat. Peach has taken up the role of product and technical solutions director at Rockwool.

During my career, I have had the pleasure of working alongside the company and have seen first-hand the expertise and dedication across the team. Building on this with our new centre of excellence will support fire safety in the UK and further enhance Rockwool鈥檚 ability to innovate and develop best-in-class products.鈥

This latest investment follows Rockwool鈥檚 recent announcement of a land purchase in Peddimore, northeast of Birmingham, to build an additional UK stone wool insulation production site.
