Wates was chosen as main contractors through a competition under the Ministry of Justice鈥檚 Strategic Alliance Agreement Framework. The Ministry of Justice will enter into a project partnering agreement with Wates and work with them to develop the design.
The new secure college will be built alongside the Glen Parva Youth Offenders Institute. 91黑料网 work will start next year and is set for completion in April 2017.
The facility will hold up to 320 young offenders between the ages of 12 and 17. Justice secretary Chris Grayling said that it would 鈥渉ave a strong focus on the education and rehabilitation of young offenders, equipping them with the skills, qualifications and self-discipline they need to turn away from crime and fulfil their potential鈥�.
